Also known as "The Amazing Apple Slinky Machine", this nifty little device turns an apple - or a pear - into a peeled, cored, sliced "slinky" in just seconds!  This is the original and BEST.  Cheap imitations will not last as long, nor do they perform as well as this one. Don't waste your money - buy the original!  Spare parts are available but your blades should last for years before they become dull.

How does it work?

  • Simply load your apple onto the holder, lock in place, and turn the handle.  You'll see your kids eating more apples than you dreamed they would!  And just because you're a grownup, doesn't mean you won't love them too.

Great design!

  • The apple slinky machine is fitted with a sturdy suction base to prevent movement and to ensure safety.  Even little hands can use it simply.  It also pulls apart easily which means it's easy to clean!

Fun and easy!

  • Gets kids to eat more apples.
  • Apples taste better when turned into slinkies! ;)

Try organic apples for even more vitamins!

  • Unless your fruit is organic, it's advisable to peel apples before eating them.  Buy organic, and you can even choose to leave the skin ON!  Simply hold down the peeling arm using the lock lever which is located at the base of the arm.  You can even remove the peeling arm if you'd prefer, and derive all the fibre that comes from eating the skin.
  • Hard work made easy!

Prepare apples for stewing and fruit salads.

  • Takes all the hard work out of food preparation.  We all know how tedious it is to peel half a dozen apples for a recipe. With such an easy apple peeler, corer and slicer, you'll eat more fruit!

What can you do with the leftover apple peels/skins?

  • If the apples are organic, there's no reason why you can't eat the skins or turn them into compost.  But if they're not, they need to be washed very thoroughly before turning your apples into apple slinkies.
  • Lay the skins in the bottom of a roasting pan and place your pork loin on top.  The skins impart a delicious, sweet flavour to the pan juices and the gravy will be irresistible!
  • Make an apple syrup.  To a medium saucepan, add apple peels from 4-5 apples (or more if you have them), 3 cups of water, 2 cups of sugar and a teaspoon of lemon juice.  Bring to the boil then simmer for ten minutes.  Strain into another pan then bring to the boil again and reduce the liquid to about two cups.  Strain again.  You should now have a reasonably thick syrup which you can use on top of ice cream, to saturate cakes straight out of the oven or in mixed cocktails.  Try with vodka and gin for a divine Appletini!  Or serve with icy cold mineral water for a non-alcoholic apple spritzer.
  • For those of you who make your own jam, apple skins contains loads of pectin which is needed to help jam set.
  • Chop finely in a food processor and add to muffins and cakes for added fibre.
