What is an ioniser?
An ioniser is a unit that attracts dust from within the air passing through it. It then discharges negative ions to absorb second-hand smoke, odours, and to clean airborne dust. It eliminates bacteria, germs and viruses and helps dispel fatigue, which makes driving more comfortable and energetic.

Bionic Products has for years been researching the closed environment in motor vehicles and its effect upon drivers. Traffic fumes, air conditioning and the vehicle's electrical system combine to produce and over-abundance of harmful positive ions, which depletes the supply of negative ions. Having an advanced microprocessor incorporated in the circuit, the portable can be easily programmed for ion output and a range of frequencies, which include, 4hz, 7.83hz, 8hz, 10hz, 16hz, 25hz, 32hz, and 40hz.

The microprocessor program also alerts the user when it is time to replace the precisely machined ionising needles, by changing the indicator light from green to orange giving the user 10 additional days to mail their needle re-order form. The indicator light also alerts to low battery level and diagnostics.

Needles
There have been many innovative ways to produce negative ions, however the most affective and efficient way to generate therapeutic ions is via a fine needle point.

The emission of small biologically active (ingestible) negative ions of oxygen require needles that have been honed to a precise point. Special alloys have been utilised to achieve this precision.

The Elanra needles are in embedded in 22Kt gold lined holders.

Other types of emitters
Some of the other commonly used emitters are The Impregnated Cord, Wire Brush, The Filament, Steel Wool Type, and Needle Clusters.� Ionisers using these types of emitters are merely air cleaners and do not produce small biologically active ions.
